Albér MPM-100 Battery Monitoring System

Diagnostic system designed for lower cell count applications such as telecom or stationary battery systems. Continuous data center monitoring potential problems using parameters such as cell voltage, overall string voltage, current and temperature. Automatic periodic tests of battery internal resistance verify the operating integrity of the battery.

Liebert AC3

Liebert Autochangeover Controllers monitor running and stand-by environmental units for proper operation. The AC3 Autochangeover Controller provides coordinated control in systems with redundant environmental units. When an alarm is detected in a Running unit, the AC3 enables a Standby unit and responds to the unit in alarm as programmed. The AC3 controller also can balance the run times of the units, by rotating the Running and Standby assignments.

Liebert ECA2-E and ECA2-M

The optional ECA2 (Environmental Communications Adapter) allows a dumb terminal or a PC with an RS-232 port to communicate with Liebert Level 0 and Level 10 microprocessor controllers in environmental units. By accessing the ECA2 board through a modem, users can monitor unit status from a remote location, observe alarms, and change set points. A security password can be required for system control, but is not required for status information.

The ECA2 can communicate with up to two Liebert microsprocessor boards using RS-422 (proprietary) links. Each RS-422 link is called a channel. The ECA2 converts the data on each RS-422 channel to an RS-232 signal (ASCII) for transmission to a monitor (local or remote). The RS-232 port on the ECA2 connects to the terminal, PC, or modem, and the cable wiring must comply with the application.

The ECA2 board is field installed in the environmental unit electronics control box, wired to a +5 VDC power supply and to the RS-422 (Proprietary) port of the microprocessor board. This RS-422 connection is made to channel 1 of the ECA2 board; if you connect a second environmental unit, it must be wired to channel 2 of the ECA2 board.

Liebert ENV-DO and Liebert iCOM-DO Environmental Discrete Output Interface Card

Liebert environmental interface cards are easily installed in selected Liebert precision cooling systems to provide contact closure monitoring and reporting of system operation. The cards provide contact closure outputs, and report status and major alarm conditions to an existing Building Management System, I/O or alarm panels, and auto-dialer devices. Liebert environmental discrete output interface cards provide 16 individual contact-closure outputs for status and major alarm conditions of microprocessor-controlled Liebert precision air conditioning systems.

Liebert IntelliRack Multiplexing Unit

The IntelliRack is a powerful multiplexing device that allows a Liebert UPS of any size to communicate with virtually unlimited number of computers. The IntelliRack unit has five Intellislots for MultiPort 4 cards that can be connected to as many as four computers each. An IntelliRack unit with five MultiPort 4 cards installed will notify up to 20 computers of power failure and low battery conditions. A built-in bridging capability permits daisy-chaining IntelliRack units together, accommodating a virtually unlimited number of computers – limited only by the capacity of the UPS. When a power failure or low battery arises in the UPS, the IntelliRack sends notifications to all systems connected to the IntelliRack. One example of a connected system is a network of computers running Liebert’s MultiLink shutdown software.

Liebert LDS Series

The Liebert Direct Reading Leak Detection System includes leak detection cable connected to a module to provide a direct distance reading in feet or meters. A module with display included is the LDS1000. A module without a display is the LDS750. Either of these modules can send a signal (RS-485) to a remote display, the LDS1000D. Also included are outputs for Liebert SiteScan (RS-422), proprietary) and an analog signal (4-20mA). The module has two (2) alarm relays: leak detected and cable fault. These contacts may be wired in parallel for a summary alarm. Alarm relays can be supervised (de-energized for alarm) or unsupervised (energized for alarm). The display can be latched until acknowledged or it can be continuously updated. User options, including cable length, are selected by DIP switches.

The leak detection cable (LT500) is available in lengths of 10 to 25 feet. Total cable length can range from 10 to 2000 feet. The cable system can include a leader cable from the module to the first leak detection segment, and weighted sections and leader cables can be used in the system. A cable end terminator is always included to complete the circuit. The cable is installed to a clean, dry surface using a pair of adhesive clips at six (6) foot intervals.

Liebert MR1

The Liebert MR1 Mini-Remote monitors the operating status and controls the operation of your Liebert Environmental unit. It serves as a remote user interface, supplementing the unit-front
controls. The MR1 is compatible with all Liebert microprocessorcontrolled Environmental units, including:

Liebert OpenComms WebCard

The OpenComms Web Card delivers SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) and Web support to the UPS in which it is installed. The card is designed for use in a Liebert UPS with an Intellislot bay. This includes the PowerSure Interactive, UPStation GXT, UPStation GXT2U, and Nfinity. The OpenComms Web Card requires an Ethernet network connection and supports both 10Mbit and 100Mbit communication speeds and either half or full duplex. The OpenComms Web Card enables in-band communication via the Web from computers running web browser software. The OpenComms Web Card enables in-band communication with network management systems (NMS) via SNMP. The OpenComms Web Card integrates with Liebert’s MultiLink™ software to provide notification for unattended, graceful operating system shutdown of PCs, servers, and workstations. MultiLink is available for most operating systems.

Liebert RAC2-8

Liebert Autochangeover Controllers monitor running and stand-by environmental units for proper operation.

The Liebert RAC2-8 remotely controls from two to eight environmental units. Each unit is assigned to a Zone (room) from 1 to 4. In Zone 1, the largest room, the temperature and humidity can be monitored. The common alarm output from each unit is monitored and annunciated by the RAC2-8. Up to 20 system alarms can be stored with time and date stamp. All alarms are latching and must be manually cleared.

The most important control functions are Autochangeover, Autosequencing, and Standby Testing. Each unit can be assigned a Running or Standby status.

Liebert RCM Series

The Liebert RCM contact monitor displays customized alarm indication for any dry contact input from data center cooling, power and UPS systems, including Liebert units. This remote system continuously surveys the most critical support equipment and instantly alerts users to alarm conditions. The unit monitors up to four digital inputs.

When the RCM receives an alarm signal, a piezoelectric siren sounds and the LED illuminates for the corresponding contact point (1 through 8). A text interface to a video terminal or PC emulating a terminal session is used to configure the operating parameters, and can remain connected to receive user-programmed alarms messages. In addition to monitoring alarm signals from locally-connected equipment, the RCM8 can also dial out via modem to: remote computer; another RCM acting as a repeater; numeric pager; or alphanumeric pager. The RCM8DO features 8 additional contact-closure outputs that mimic the state of the alarm LEDs. Up to four RCM8 units can be connected in a local, multi-point monitoring configuration. This gives added flexibility to monitor up to 32 contact points. The RCM8 also communicates with the Liebert SiteScan centralized monitoring system.

Liebert SiteNet Integrator and Load Control Module

The SiteNet® Integrator monitors and controls various network devices such as UPS Systems, Environmental Control Systems, and Site Security Devices. Two output contact closures control external devices. With an optional SiteNet® Integrator Load Control Module (LCM), the Integrator (Ethernet version) allows remote network control of up to six connected loads. The SiteNet® Integrator uses Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) to communicate status information contained in a Management Information Base (MIB) to your Network Management System (NMS). In addition to the UPS MIB, the Integrator also monitors data and environmental control conditions (see “Integrator Environmental MIB”). Basic SiteNet® Integrator features include:

  • Ethernet or Token Ring compatibility
  • Power source redundancy with two separate power inputs
  • Up to ten (10) digital inputs
  • Two temperature/humidity sensor input
  • One thermistor sensor input
  • Audible alarms
  • Two programmable relay outputs

Liebert SiteNet SNMP Manager

The Liebert SiteNetÆ MultiPort 4 provides easy-to-install protection for up to five computers connected to a single UPS. The computers can simultaneously monitor the UPS status – for example, utility power failure or low battery. This advanced power-management device is designed to function only in the Liebert Intellislot of the following supported UPS units:

  • Nfinity
  • Liebert NX
  • PowerSure PSI
  • UPStation GXT
  • UPStation GXT2

A maximum of five computer systems may be linked – a host computer connected to the factory-installed UPS communications port and up to four client computers connected via MultiPort 4. When a UTILITY FAIL or LOW BATTERY condition is detected, the MultiPort 4 provides a signal to each connected computer (Figure 1). Liebert MultiLink software, installed on each workstation, can interpret the signal and initiate operating system shutdown according to configurations determined by the user. The specially designed cable assembly included in the package provides four output ports that signal the status of the UPS – for example, utility fail or low battery – to each connected computer.

Liebert SiteScan 2000W, SiteScan 2W

SiteScan 2000 for Windows is a full-featured software package designed to monitor critical support equipment. The software includes programs which run on a Workstation computer and other programs called Function Blocks (FBs) which reside in individual control modules. The control modules are installed at or near the local point of interface. These modules are networked together and usually communicate with the Workstation through a single gateway module (normally a SiteGate-232, SiteGate-ETH, or a DCLAN) over telephone lines. This combination of software and hardware allows the implementation of a system-wide monitoring system.

The human operator communicates with each control module network, called a CMnet, through a Workstation. The Workstation software receives information from the modules and processes it so that it can be viewed from the perspective of all locations being monitored: a group of buildings in a complex, an individual building, a floor within that building, an individual zone, or an individual piece of critical support equipment. When the equipment level is reached, the operator is communicating directly with the Function Block in the module which is monitoring the
displayed equipment. This is the most local point of interface, and the operator can quickly assess the performance of that particular equipment and take whatever action is required.

Liebert SiteTrap

SiteTrap for Windows is a software package designed to generate SNMP traps and SMTP email. Messages are communicated over an Ethernet network. The SiteTrap application works with the ASCII file write action in Alert. The SiteTrap software will monitor the ASCII file created by Alert for data. When data (alarms & events) are written to the ASCII file, SiteTrap will extract the data from the file and process the message for sending.

Liebert Tele2

The Liebert TELE2 remotely controls for two InteleCool units. Up to 20 system alarms can be stored with time and date stamp. All Alarms are latching and must be manually cleared.

The most important control functions are Autochangeover and Autosequencing. Each unit can be assigned a Running or Standby status.

Autochangeover turns on the Standby unit if an alarm is detected. The Running unit (with alarm) will be turned off if that control option is selected. Each unit will return to its previous status when the alarm is manually cleared.

Autosequencing balances unit run-times by changing the Standby unit to Running (and the Running unit to Standby) at programmed time intervals. Other control functions include Manual Override, Emergency Power Operation, Power Failure Mode, Password, and Programmable Delays.

Liqui-tect Two Channel Leak Detection System

Liebert Liqui-tect two-channel leak detection provides data center monitoring for two different areas with direct-read at the control unit location, as well as the ability to communicate with Liebert SiteScan Web centralized monitoring system or a building management system.
Liebert Liqui-tect direct-read leak detection system has two independent channels to monitor two different areas. Each channel can monitor up to 5,000 feet of Liebert LT500Y leak detection cable. 60Hz or 50Hz.

The system may be used to detect leaks from:

  • Glycol, condenser water, and chilled water cooling piping
  • Humidification feed water piping
  • Condensate pumps and drains
  • Unit and ceiling auxilliary drip pans
  • Overhead piping

 

NetSure ITM with eSure Technology

The NetSure™ ITM lowers the cost of data center design, operation and management. This 48 V direct current solution is a row-based DC UPS that delivers simple, scalable and highly efficient data center power protection in 70 kW modules. Up to four DC UPS modules can be installed together for 280 kW of total power.

The NetSure™ ITM is deployed directly on the server room floor, providing protected 48 V power to nearby equipment racks. This preserves the efficiency and reliability benefits of DC power, minimizes the amount of copper required, and enables modular growth.

NetSure™ rectifiers or power conversion units (PCUs) with eSure™ high-efficiency technology are the heart of the NetSure™ ITM. Each DC UPS module includes twelve independent 5.8 kW PCUs. Each DC UPS module is factory integrated with distribution and batter backup. 48 V branch distribution via 22 circuit breakers (6 fuses optional); 5 minutes to 10 minutes of battery backup is provided across three parallel 48 V battery strings.
